What is Adopt-A-Spot, you ask? Well, it’s an amazing opportunity for YOU, yes you, to become a local eco-hero! We believe that small acts can make a BIG difference, and this program allows everyone in our community to contribute to the beauty and well-being of our beloved town.

| ||Comprehensive Plan update||Lincoln is seeking resident input as it begins the process of updating of the town’s Comprehensive Plan. The attached flyer has information on how to participate in the new plan Envision Lincoln. Please visit the website (www.envision-lincoln.com), complete the survey (scan QR code on flyer or go to the ‘Engage’ tab on the website), and attend the public workshop on Monday September 25 at 6:30PM at the Senior Center. The workshop will begin with a brief introduction from the town’s consultant, Weston & Sampson, and then attendees will be invited to ask questions and provide comments & insight into how we can ensure that the new Comprehensive Plan, Envision Lincoln, work best for Lincoln residents. There will be other opportunities to participate in the future, but this meeting is important because it will focus on the vision statements for the town and each of the town villages. Light refreshments will be served. Please help spread the word! |

If you experienced damage to your home during yesterday's (9/11) flash flooding, please fill out this form and estimate ($ amount) the damage done to your property by the flooding.
Lincoln’s Emergency Management (EMA) team is compiling all of this information for submission to RIEMA and FEMA. This is an important step in the Town’s submission should funding become available. Please provide your best estimate and thank you for your cooperation.

| ||Lincoln Conservation Commission Events||The Conservation Commission has a full board of 7 members. Including town cleanups, we also are invested in the new lights, Adopt-a-spots, the historical cemeteries; also, we are responsible for the Butterfly Garden in Chase Farm. We also are open to any other ideas/problems, etc., that involve keeping the town as much of a town as possible.
| ||Lincoln Memorial Day Parade||Kickoff your summer at our annual Lincoln Memorial Day Parade, on Monday May 29th.
Beginning at 11:00 AM the parade kicks off at the corner of Higginson Ave/ Smithfield Ave. The parade ends at Chase Farm for our post parade celebration with The PVD Food Trucks and live music brought to you by C2 Records and Various Artists. It will be a fun filled day for the whole family.
Starting at the intersection of Smithfield Ave/Higginson Ave the parade will travel north on Smithfield Ave to Walker St. The parade will then travel east on Walker St. and turn left onto Chapel St. at the Saylesville Fire Station. The parade will then travel north on Chapel St. where it will merge with Great Rd. The parade will continue west on Great Rd. until it concludes at Chase Farm.
The Post Parade Celebration will take place at Chase Farm immediately following the parade. The Post Parade Celebration will include several food trucks and live music and entertainment. Pedestrian traffic WILL NOT be permitted back along Great Rd.
Please note if you plan on going to the Post Parade Celebration: Great Rd. will be closed from Chase farm to Gateway Park beginning at 10:30 AM to approximately 1:00 PM. No vehicles will be allowed to enter Chase Farm during the road closure. If you are planning on only attending the Post Parade Celebration please park at Chase Farm prior to 10:30 AM.
The rest of the parade route will be closed at 10:45 AM and re-open as the parade passes selected checkpoints. We are asking residents to please plan accordingly. Parking along the parade route will be prohibited and violators will be towed. If you live along the parade route, plan on road closures from approximately 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM. Thank you again for your patience and we hope to see you at our parade this year!

| ||Lincoln Releases Community Resilience Building Report||The Town recently participated in the Municipal Resilience Program ran by the Nature Conservancy and the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank. The goal of the program is to identify local resiliency issues and connect them with potential funding sources. For more information on the program, please see this link.
A virtual workshop with key stakeholders and Town staff was hosted by the Nature Conservancy on December 8th, 2022. The Community Resilience Building – Summary of Findings Report captures the valuable information shared during the workshop. The Town will be utilizing the report to identify projects and connect them with potential funding sources.

| ||Notice of MANDATORY Odd-Even Outdoor Water Use Restrictions||TO ALL CUSTOMERS: Effective JULY 1, 2023, the Lincoln Water Commission will be implementing mandatory Odd-Even Outdoor Water Use Restrictions for all customers being served by the Lincoln Water distribution system. Properties with an odd numbered address are allowed to use water outdoors on odd numbered calendar days. Property owners with an even numbered address are allowed to use water outdoors on even numbered calendar days. These restrictions will be enforced from July 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023. | ||Placemaking Grant Survey||If you are a local Lincoln business please take a minute to answer this short two (2) question survey in regards to how the Chase Farm events have impacted your business. Deadline June 30, 2023.
This year we received a grant award from the RI Rebounds Placemaking Grant Program for The Memorial Day Post Parade event, Chase Farm summer concerts series, Farmers Markets, etc. Through this awarded grant, we were able to purchase a new stage, lighting and other upgraded equipment for events held at Chase Farm. As part of the grant evaluation process, we are asked to share a survey with businesses who were positively impacted by the programming we conducted. The data from this survey will help the state measure the Placemaking Program’s impact and decide if another round of Placemaking should be funded. | ||Town Hall informational meeting||The Town will be hosting an information session on the two bonds tomorrow night, Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Town Hall- 100 Old River Rd. Officials will explain the bonds and their impacts, as well as answer any questions from the public.
| ||Town Hall New Hours||
In an effort to make Town Hall services accessible to people that work during the day the Town of Lincoln will be making adjustments to our weekly schedule.
The new hours starting on Thursday July 27, 2023 will be from 8:30 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. The Town Hall will close at 12:30 p.m. on Friday afternoons. Monday through Wednesdays hours will not be effected and will not change, these will remain normal hours 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.
The new Friday hours will also limit availability to the Credit Union located in the Town Hall which will also close at 12:30 pm so we ask that you plan accordingly. The new schedule will only be for regular town hall operations and will not impact other Town Services.
This change will take effect on Thursday July 27, 2023.
