Public Works

The Department of Public Works includes many departments of the Town that provide services for the residents. The departments are Sewer, Highway, Building, Parks and Recreation, Recycling, and Engineering. This office centralizes the intricacies of all public work projects and services. Some responsibilities include: maintaining town-owned roads and property, supervising and maintaining the sewer system, supervising the municipal tree service, and much more.

Seasonal Roadway Excavation Moratorium

Effective Immediately 

Due to winter weather and sustained cold temperatures, the Town of Lincoln has imposed a Seasonal Roadway Excavation Moratorium. During this period, no new roadway excavation permits will be issued, and non-emergency excavation work within Town of Lincoln public roadways must pause. 

Emergency utility repairs may proceed only with authorization from the Lincoln Department of Public Works and must follow temporary patching requirements until full restoration is possible in the spring. 

The moratorium will remain in effect until weather and pavement conditions improve. A notice will be posted when it is lifted.
