Municipal Court
The Lincoln Municipal Court holds sessions on the first and third Wednesday of each month. This court hears matters relating to traffic, zoning and animal code violations.
Court Rules
- Proper attire is required - no shorts, tank tops, etc.
- Food and beverages are expressly forbidden
- Court begins on time. Late arrivals are heard at the conclusion of the session
- Cell phones and pagers should be set to silent mode or turned off
Payments for fines (varies) and court costs ($35 per infraction) are due and payable at the time of judgment; payable by cash, check (made payable to: Lincoln Municipal Court) or money order. The Lincoln Municipal Court accepts credit / debit cards, but there is a fee imposed by the credit card company (Curis Systems).
Please check the Court Docket for your name. If your name is listed, assume a seat in the courtroom and wait for your name to be called. If your name is not listed, please inform the Clerk upon your arrival. The Clerk is seated at the front of the courtroom.
Schedule & Location
Municipal Court Hearing dates can be found in the Town Calendar. All Municipal Court Hearings are held in the Lincoln Town Hall, 100 Old River Road, and begin promptly at 6 pm. The Courtroom is accessible. Please note that all payments for court costs and fines are due and payable at the time of the Court hearing. The Lincoln Town Hall is connected to the Lincoln Police Department. The courtroom is located in the Council Chamber.
