Dog Licenses

ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED!

Every person residing in the Town of Lincoln who is the owner or the keeper of a dog six months old or over, must license said dog annually.

THERE IS NO APPLICATION FOR A DOG LICENSE - SIMPLY PROVIDE A COPY OF RABIES CERTIFICATE

RENEWALS - An updated rabies certificate needs to be presented, ONLY IF PREVIOUS ONE ON FILE IS EXPIRED.  Please submit in person or by mail when filing.

To file in person:

Monday - Friday  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Lincoln Town Hall, Town Clerk's Office, 100 Old River Road, Lincoln, RI 02865 (across from Town Council Chambers)

To file by mail:

Lincoln Town Hall, Town Clerk's Office, 100 Old River Road, Lincoln, RI 02865 - Make check payable to "Town of Lincoln"

Important Information

  • Licenses are effective from May 1 - April 30 each year.
  • License fee is $8.00
  • Any person who fails to license his/her/their dog(s) on or before April 30 annually, in addition to license fee, pay a late charge of $3.00.  
  • No license shall be issued unless a valid rabies certificate is provided
